What is included in your fee?

• We will have an initial meeting to discuss your book and design, with follow up meetings as needed.
• You will receive a detailed time line for the project and written price quote.
• You will get 2 cover concepts for your book. Once you select your design, you have two revisions to the selected design included in the flat fee.
• You will receive files for your e-book cover that are complete and ready for e-book integration
• You will receive a file that can be used for Amazon and web promotion.

What about cover art, is that included in the flat fee?

• Well, it depends on what you want as your cover. I try to work with images and typefaces where there are no additional charges and I have my own library of custom art that I have created for cover art (for which there would be no additional charge). If, however, you want something I am unable to create or have in my library, there is a charge.  In all cases, I will submit this additional fee to you for your approval prior to making the purchase. THERE ARE NO HIDDEN FEES.

How do I communicate with you?

• The first meeting is usually by telephone. Email is preferred after the first meeting. I live in the Atlanta area, so I work on Eastern Standard Time.

How fast can I get a cover?

• I ask for a week to create the two cover designs for you. After that, it depends upon how quickly you make decisions and how many revisions you request. Once a design is approved, I can have files to you in 24-48 hours. If you have a deadline you have to meet, I will do everything I can to work with you on it. You will receive a time line for the project after the initial meeting and before you are charged for any work.

When and how do I pay you?

• After the first meeting, if we both agree to work together, you will receive a time line, complete description of the job, and a listing of the fees.  ½ of the fee is due to start the job. The other ½ is due when final files are to be delivered.
• I prefer payment via PayPal.
• I also accept personal checks, with prior approval. There are slight delays when paying by personal check as I do wait for them to clear before starting the job or sending the final materials.

Who owns the cover design?

• I request a credit line for cover design, and to use it in my portfolio, but you will own the legal rights to the design.
